Governor Nelson Hike
Details
Come join us for a hike in Governor Nelson State Park. We will meet at the fish cleaning station at the back of the park.
A state park sticker is required, and the office may be closed. Leave some time if you need to pay. Bathrooms are open by the fish cleaning station.
Distance will be 3-5 miles (depending on your preference). The trails in the prairie and woodlands may be muddy if there's been rain, so dress appropriately. The trails have some decent hills. If time permits, we will see the Indian Mounds.
A walk under the road to check on the camels is an optional detour.
The end time is an estimate and depends on conditions.
The hike will start promptly 5 minutes after the stated start time.
Friendly dogs are welcome.
