Portland Bike Party

Portland Bike Party is a monthly group slow ride through the streets of Portland complete with music, lights, good cheer, and good folks that typically meets the 2nd Friday of every month in various locations around Portland. There is always a “Pop-Up” Dance Party in the middle of the ride that is only for the riders.
For August 2025, they will be doing a Bug Light ride.

• The August ride will go to Thomas Knight Park traveling along the Greenbelt, then through Ferry Village to Bug Light Park, Dance Party in the grass, then heading back.
• Riders are encouraged to wear bodacious costumes and dress up their bikes if they are so inclined.
  - Or simply wear your normal garb...as long as you show up, we're happy to have you.

So come join us and likely 100+ riders on what is likely to be a very memorable ride traveling through South Portland. The July ride had over 200 riders!

• Please plan to be at the gathering location by 6:30 so that we can gather as a sub-group within the bigger group. The ride will hit the streets at 7:00 pm.

The leader brings us to a park location that has lights/ music / glow-in-the-dark Hula Hoops, etc. already staged and ready to go.

• Note: Riders should always wear helmets and have bike lights for visibility. Riders in the Portland Bike Party typically attach fluorescent glow sticks to their bikes / helmets /around their ankles for fun/increased visibility.

Look for a placard of a “Red Heart” over a white background. Please plan to be at the gathering location by 6:30 so that we can gather as a sub-group within the bigger group. The ride will hit the streets at 7:00 pm.
Participants join at their own risk and are responsible for their own equipment and actions.

By participating in “Active/Athletic Singles” activities you are asserting and reaffirming that you are of least 18 years of age and are legally bound by your actions and decisions. You take responsibility for your own consumption of alcohol at events and are responsible for your own actions. Drink responsibly and do not drive under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
You understand that the “Active/Athletic Singles” group of Meetup.com may, from time to time, take photographic, digital or video images of event participants for advertising purposes. You hereby agree to allow “Active/Athletic Singles” group of Meetup.com to use those images for that purpose without expectation of privacy or remuneration.
