Cadillac Mountain hike
Details
Cadillac Mountain is the highest peak on Mount Desert Island in Maine's Acadia National Park and the highest point on the U.S. Atlantic coast. It is famous for being the first place in the continental place to see sunrise.
The Cadillac Mountain South Ridge Trail, or Cadillac South Ridge Trail, is a gradual climb that does not meet Cadillac
Summit Road until the very end. The trail briefly descends to a small pond called The Featherbed, where there is a wooden bench for taking a break and enjoying the pond. On the return, descend back down the Cadillac South Ridge Trail.
