Come listen to the big band sound with our own saxophonist Nicole Weeks as she performs with her 85th Street Big Band group on the performance lawn at the [Ballard Locks](https://ballardlocks.org/). The performance starts at 2 PM and is free but come early to get a good place for your blanket/lawn chair and bring any picnic food to share. While waiting for the band to start, check out the visitor center and be sure and watch the video of the building of the locks and the Montlake Cut. Stroll over and watch the boats go through the locks (the busiest lock system in the nation)
