Stunning Sunningdale to Windsor castle hike :)

Come and join Active Hiking for Adventure as we explore the famous way route from Sunningdale to Windsor.

This walk explores a lake around Virginia Water, Valley Gardens, Windsor Great Park, which is a massive forest with deer park, and the Long Walk to Windsor Castle

Hike info in a nutshell:

Start: The train leaves Waterloo at 9:39 and will arrive at Sunnigdale at 10:30.

Please make sure to arrive early to be able to get group saver tickets. Please purchase a day return to Windsor (all stations), and you will also need to buy a single from Staines to Sunningdale.

Cost: £7.50. The only thing you need to pay is the train ticket, lunch and drinks. GroupSave offers a 34% discount on the adult fare for between 3 and 9 people when travelling together.

Meeting Point: 9:00am Waterloo under the most famous clock

Distance: 17.0km (10.6 miles). We will allow approximately 5 hours for walking, depending upon the speed of the group and excluding any breaks.

What to wear: Appropriate walking clothes and footwear - ideally hiking boots as the path could be muddy in places. Please bring waterproofs in case it is raining. No trainers or jeans please.

Return Journey: There are regular trains from Windsor back to London. We cannot guarantee a return time though.

Lunch: Water & a Packed lunch (please also bring at least 1 litre of water)
