Hike - Stokes State Forest
Event Description: Stokes State Forest is a state park located in Sandyston, Montague and Frankford in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. Stokes comprises 16,447 acres (66.56 km2) of mountainous woods in the Kittatinny Mountains, extending from the southern boundary of High Point State Park southwestward to the eastern boundary of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. This group is intended for anyone who is living with anxiety or depression, and seeking a healthy and active social outlet. Although our goal is to introduce and support a healthy and active lifestyle for individuals living with anxiety or depression, all are welcome to join this group. We engage in a variety of activities including but not limited to walking, running, and hiking.

Active Life for a Healthy Mind is a program provided by The Anxiety and Depression Initiative (ADI) a 501(c)(3), a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and support the use of an active and healthy lifestyle to better live with the symptoms of anxiety and depression and to overall help lessen the stigmas associated with anxiety and depression.

PLEASE NOTE: The purpose of this group is for a healthy and active social outlet. It is not a therapy group nor, will its activities be facilitated by a health care professional. This group does not provide mental health services of any kind.
