ποΈ Hike with us in the UK's original national park spread across 555 square miles of breathtaking landscapes, a treasured landscape of natural beauty shaped by the interaction of people and nature over thousands of years. We aim to do at least two hikes, covering the famous Mam Tor and the highest point in the Peak District of Kinder Scout at 2,087 feet.

π·οΈ Please note: Priority for such events are given to regular and reliable/new attendees. Why? At Active Muslims, we place great importance on attendance records and active participation in our regular events, such as our walks and hikes. We believe these activities offer attendees the chance to form meaningful and strong connections with like-minded individuals. Our overnight events then provide an opportunity to deepen these connections in a more relaxed and different setting. [why it matters]
π₯ Please initally add yourself to the waitlist and you will be sent details/link on payment within a couple of days (depending on availability and priority). Make sure your DM is open to receiving messages from Admins (payment/details are preferably sent by WhatsApp)
π What you need to do & pay:
π³ Payment: Β£73
*Β£2 will be donated as Sadaqah on your behalf for the humanitarian aid in Palestine.

π Purchase a train ticket for:
OUT: Friday 4th October: Take the 9:02am to Edale Station (from St Pancras International, 1 Change at Sheffield, arrives 11:47 at Edale Station]
RETURN: Sunday 6th October: 2:30pm to St Pancras International (from Edale Station, 1 Change at Sheffield, t arrives 5:39pm at St Pancras International Station)
π You can meet us at London St Pancras International (platform 3/check on the day) if you are travelling by train.

What's Included:
ποΈ 2 Nights: Hostel Accommodation (shared rooms), separate men/women, maxium 8 per room (due to increased capacity)
π² Meal included: From Friday's dinner, Saturday's breakfast, packed lunch (for hike) & dinner to Sunday's packed lunch (some halal options available - you will be sent a list to chose from)
π/π¨: The Hostel is about 40 minutes walk. You can walk to the hostel if you wish but the idea is to get local cabs (in groups of 4/5).
πΆπ» Hikes:
π Friday (pm): ~13km, ~670m Elv. Gain, via Mam Tor. *
π΄ Saturday: (am): ~27km, ~1030m Elv. Gain, via Kinder Scout (highest peak)
* We aim for the Friday hike to take place around 1:30pm, we will store our bags in the hostel after arriving as the dorms will be available at 4pm. You just need to be ready with your hiking backpack, water and gear for the hike, we will return after the hike and have access to our rooms and then have dinner / relax / games.
π What to bring: appropriate clothing, toiletries, towel etc for hostel for sleepover. Appropriate shoes, water bottle, snacks to keep you going for hike/activities.
π₯ͺ Packed lunch/snacks for Friday/train journey.
π Advisable to have layers/waterproofs, you will get hot when doing activities and cold when not - ability to put layeres on/off may keep you more comfortable.
π¦ Headlight (we may do a sunset walk on the Friday depending on dinner/timing)
π₯Ύ Hiking boots are highly recommended.
