β Reminder: Active Muslims is equally about focusing on the actual activity, in this case, it is a paced hike (and not a stroll), therefore it is advised to approach and attend these events with that mindset.

π» Charing Cross, on train & Hastings Station.
π§ Prayer: We will make time at lunch time or during the hike.
π What to bring: appropriate clothing/boots, water bottle, packed lunch & snacks to keep you going!
π Advisable to have layers to keep you more comfortable.
π₯Ύ Hiking boots are highly recommended.
𧦠Double socks are a good tip for walking/hiking (reduces chance of blisters - if you don't have hiking socks).
ποΈ "No shows" for previous events may be moved to the waitlist/not going to prioritise reliable attendees / new joiners - when there is a waiting list, priority is given by attendance records / new joiners.

Hastings is a town in Sussex, England, that is famous for the Battle of Hastings in 1066, when William, duke of Normandy, defeated Harold II of England and became the king of England. Hastings was also a Saxon settlement before the Norman invasion, and had a castle that was later rebuilt by William. Hastings began as a Saxon settlement. It was called Haesta ingas, which means Haestaβs people. By the 10th century, Hastings had grown into a little market town. It even had its own mint.
