πŸ•Œ The Shah Jahan Mosque (Woking Mosque) was built in 1889 as the first purpose build mosque in the UK and Northern Europe, build by Hungarian-British Orientalist and partly funded by Sultan Shah Jahan Begum of Bhopal, as a place for students at the Oriental Institute in Woking to worship. It is a Grade I listed building.

πŸ’  Peace Gardens: The original Woking Muslim Military Cemetery was opened in 1917 by the British Government to counteract German propaganda that Muslim Indian soldiers from the army were not being buried according to their religious rites.
