Cat, Chimney and Wolf Rock in Thurmont, MD--7.4 miles with 1,600 ft in elevation

DESCRIPTION: This is a 7.4 mile hike with 1,600 ft in elevation. It can be pretty steep in areas so please know your limitations. It is a really nice hike with some great views. It will likely take about 4-5 hours with stopping at some of the overlooks.

Parking Lot: We will meet at the Thurmont Vista Parking Lot. It is about a mile up Park Central Road from the Ranger station. It will be on the right and should have plenty of parking.

Meet: Near the picnic tables. Should be easy to find people.

Time: We will be leaving at 8:35 sharp so please be on time to be respectful of people's time.

EXPECTATIONS: Download the trail map onto your phone before you arrive. Please bring plenty of water and snacks. Know your physical limits and cardiovascular fitness. Bring proper clothing and gear for the weather. If you have any concerns or questions, don't hesitate to contact the hike leader via the chat feature or direct messaging.
