Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!

Aspen: lab/greyhound rescue. 4.5 years old, female, she is a running machine and she is currently training for a marathon with me. We are from CO and she was raised off leash in Vail, Boulder and Breckenridge until we unfortunately moved here 2 years ago. Chesney: 7 months, shepherd/husky rescue, 7 months, female. She is a great little girl; always trying to be perfect like her sister. She has a chewing problem like many pups her age but we are working on it. She has been trail running and hiking off leash since she was ten weeks old.

What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.

Off leash fun. My dogs don't hike on leash for my sanity unless absolutely necessary. Aspen needs to run and get her energy out and Chesney needs to try to keep up. They are high energy, fun dogs. Aspen isn't the most social, she just wants to run and she does not take kindly to dogs getting in her personal space i.e. humping and what not. Chesney loves to wrestle and is a bundle of energy as well.

What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...

We love to go to Pautuxent River State Park in Maryland. They have great trails and not a lot of people so the dogs can always be off leash up there. They also have docks for the dogs to jump off and cool down.

Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???

Nope just titles from me.

Hi there! My name is Crystal and I have two rescue dogs. Aspen is a four and a half year old lab/greyhound and she is the love of my life and we recently adopted Chesney a seven month old shepherd/husky pup.
