Colonial Faire & Muster of Fyfes & Drums

For over 50 years this has been an annual event held at the Wayside Inn and is hosted by the Sudbury Ancient Fyfe & Drum Company. (Many moons ago I used to be a fyfer with the Sudbury Ancients. I'm wearing the blue waistcoat in the event pic).

This year will be big as we celebrate America's 250th! Over 25 fyfe & drum corps from all over New England and New York will be attending.

The Faire opens at 10am but I typically get there around 11am to find a good spot to watch the grand parade of fyfes and drums which starts at Noon.

Besides the parade, there will be dozens of colonial and craft vendors. Food is available on the muster field.

Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking.
