Lake Acworth Dragons - Recreational Team

Warm weather is here and it's time to be on the water. If you are interested in participating on the Acworth-Cobb Dragon Boat Club Recreational Team "Lake Acworth Dragons" come join us. The Recreational Team provides a welcoming, low-pressure paddling option for members who want fitness, fun, and community without the time commitment or competitive expectations of the Competitive Team. We look forward to seeing everyone . This is a great opportunity to learn a new sport and become part of a growing team.

Lake Acworth Dragons Recreational Team begin their 2026 season on Saturday, April 4, Lake Acworth, Cauble Park, Acworth, Ga. We meet every other week. Practice starts at 10:45am and on the water at 11:00am. We are excited to be back on the water and welcome visitors. Anyone who would like to learn a new water sport is welcome to join us. Life jackets, paddles, the boat and instruction is provided.
We will board the boat from the beach so be sure to wear water shoes and comfortable clothes that can get wet, a hat and sunscreen. Bring water.
We must have at least 10paddler therefore practice will be cancelled if the numbers aren't there.
You are invited to paddle with us (cost is $10 a session) and after 3 paddles we ask you to join the team.
The entry to Cauble Park is free.

If you sign up for practice please DO NOT be a no show.. this is a team sport and good sportsmanship is the foundation of our team.
We have limited seats in the boat and if you don’t show up you are preventing someone else from paddling.
Additionally, if you have never attended our practice, please don’t spam our sign ups for future practices if you have never attended your FIRST practice. We will remove your name from all future sign ups until we have met you. Thank you
