Metamorphosis Alpha Dark Ages First MeetUp

Greetings Mortals!

Friday, July 28th is the earliest I can get together and attempt to accommodate those showing interest. I was surprised to learn that some players actually want to get into a TTRPG during the summer! So I set this date.

We will meet at Applebees in Appleton at 3730 W College Ave at 6 PM. I will bring the USB drives with the game files. We will work on the characters, and, I will answer whatever questions are put to this old Keeper of the Arcane secrets. At least those answers that will not drive you insane!

How are YOU going to find me? I'll have this star shown in the photo at my table. It will be upon a black dice cup sitting upon a small brown wooden box.

NOTE WELL; there is an old saying, "Do not try the patients of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger."

My wife and I have had issues finding people who follow through with signing on. We had our children go to the sitters. My wife set up a cold sandwich buffet and a variety of drinks for the six players who RSVP. No one showed! No one called. I wasn't very happy with this and honestly dismayed with all the expenses and my own personal work as the GM.
My wife, however, was VERY pissed off!! She hounded them all until one finally responded. "What's your problem, freak!" They said to her. "We learned that our regular DM had a game ready sooner than they thought, and we went. Go get a life already."
They didn't care at all to be remotely courteous. Or the effort my wife and I put into that night with time and money.
I'd love to say this happened once. But no, another group of players did this too. They said no one needs to say they cannot make it to a game, especially if they do not know the person.
After two no-shows or calls, we gave up attempts to get a social life after kids.

As such, if I do not hear back within the RSVP closing time shown (three weeks before the event), I will not be showing up myself. I've done everything I know of to accommodate players. I paid to find them using this site and spent a great deal of money purchasing rules, a great deal indeed! I will be handing it out to those who show up in PDF form. And let's not forget. I also have been working on the campaign itself!
