Scams are becoming more convincing, more personal, and harder to recognize. From fraudulent phone calls and phishing emails to fake government officials, online shopping scams, romance scams, and tech-support schemes, scammers are constantly finding new ways to target people.
Join us for an informative and practical scam-prevention class from the Boise Police Department. We’ll look at common scams happening today, how scammers use fear, urgency, and deception to get what they want, and six simple ways to identify a scam before you become a victim.
You’ll leave with practical tips for recognizing red flags, protecting your personal information and money, and knowing what to do when something just doesn’t feel right.
