About us
“Theologians may quarrel, but mystics around the world speak the same language.” — Meister Eckhart, German theologian, philosopher, and mystic (c.1260–1328)
At Adelaide Mystics, we come together to celebrate the perennial wisdom available to seekers around the world; the true nature of our relationship with Source.
Here, mysticism isn’t a doctrine—it’s a shared understanding. We honour mystery, welcome paradox, and walk alongside one another as we each find our own way toward understanding our transcendent nature. Whether through meditation, prayer, chanting, contemplation, or simply sitting in silence, we create space for the sacred to speak.
We’re inspired by the voices of mystics across traditions—those who have glimpsed the divine and left behind words that still shimmer with truth. Their insights provide validation and nurturing as we go about our daily lives.
This is a home for anyone seeking spiritual companionship without the weight of dogma. We gather around what connects us: the longing for truth, the beauty of shared stillness, and the joy of discovering that we are never alone on the path.

Interpreting Mystical Experience: A Community Conversation on the Sacred
19 On Green Community Centre, 19 green Street, Brompton 5007,, Adelaide, AUInterpreting Mystical Experience: A Community Conversation on the Sacred
You are warmly invited to a gentle, reflective session devoted to one of the most human—and most mysterious—aspects of the spiritual path: our lived experiences of the sacred.
This gathering isn’t about simple answers or fixed interpretations. Instead, we’ll explore the questions that matter:
- What spiritual insights have we experienced?
- What did it ask of us?
- How has it shaped or changed us?
- What meaning did we take from it—and what meaning is still unfolding?
We’ll create a space where stories, insights, and uncertainties are welcome. You’ll have the opportunity to share your own experiences in a supportive circle, and to hear from others who may find resonance, encouragement, or clarity in what you offer.
Whether your experiences have been subtle or dramatic, comforting or disorienting, long ago or very recent, this is a chance to explore them with others who understand that spiritual life is rarely linear and never one‑size‑fits‑all.
Come with curiosity, humility and kindness. Come with questions. Come with the sense that what you’ve lived might be meaningful not only for you, but for someone else in the room.
*Due to ongoing cost of Meetup Administration and the Centre, a $5.00 donation would be most welcome. Tea and coffee provided.*
Attendees are welcome to join us afterwards for lunch or a drink at the Excelsior Hotel.
