About us
“Theologians may quarrel, but mystics around the world speak the same language.” — Meister Eckhart, German theologian, philosopher, and mystic (c.1260–1328)
At Adelaide Mystics, we come together to celebrate the perennial wisdom available to seekers around the world; the true nature of our relationship with Source.
Here, mysticism isn’t a doctrine—it’s a shared understanding. We honour mystery, welcome paradox, and walk alongside one another as we each find our own way toward understanding our transcendent nature. Whether through meditation, prayer, chanting, contemplation, or simply sitting in silence, we create space for the sacred to speak.
We’re inspired by the voices of mystics across traditions—those who have glimpsed the divine and left behind words that still shimmer with truth. Their insights provide validation and nurturing as we go about our daily lives.
This is a home for anyone seeking spiritual companionship without the weight of dogma. We gather around what connects us: the longing for truth, the beauty of shared stillness, and the joy of discovering that we are never alone on the path.

Many Ways Gathering: Exploring Nonduality & Sharing Spiritual Experience
19 On Green Community Centre, 19 green Street, Brompton 5007,, Adelaide, AU**Adelaide Mystics Group – Nonduality & Shared Experience**
You’re warmly invited to join the Adelaide Mystics community for a contemplative exploration of the many ways people experience nonduality, followed by a gentle circle of spiritual sharing.
**Part 1 — A Guided Exploration of Nonduality**
We’ll begin with a grounded introduction to modes of perception reported in Pierce Salguero’s work — different types of nondual experience, plus the related phenomenon of cessation.
Rather than treating nonduality as a single experience, this framework shows how people across traditions report different ways the usual sense of boundary between “self” and “world” can dissolve. We’ll touch on the continuum of nondual experience:
- Unity consciousness — the felt sense of one seamless whole
- Subject–object collapse — perception without a separate perceiver
- Energetic synesthesia — energy is the only substrate
- Emptiness realization — the world and self as empty of independent essence
- Mystical presence — the sacred shining through ordinary experience
- Cessation — a brief stopping of perceptionThe aim is not to rank or interpret these experiences, but to offer language that helps us recognise the diversity of what “nondual” can mean.
**Part 2 — Sharing of Spiritual Experiences**
After the talk, we’ll open a spacious, respectful circle for anyone who feels moved to share their own spiritual or mystical experiences.
Whether your experiences have been subtle or profound, recent or long ago, this is a place to speak from the heart and to listen with presence. There is no pressure to share — quiet participation is equally welcome.
*Due to ongoing cost of Meetup Administration and the Centre, a $5.00 donation would be most welcome. Tea and coffee provided.*
Attendees are welcome to join us afterwards for lunch or a drink at the Excelsior Hotel.
