Brownhill, Wild Dog Glen and Sheoak Loop hike - 12km, 9:00am

Join us for this scenic hike on Sunday morning. This is a 12km (approx) loop walk along various tracks including the Yurabilla Trail, through the Adelaide University Waite Conservation Reserve, down to Wild Dog Glen and Harold's Lookout, along the Sheoak loop and down Brownhill. The walk features lots of wildlife and lovely natural scenery plus there are great views across Adelaide and over to the sea from the top.
You’ll need a good level of fitness and bring water. Walking poles are recommended.
Meet at McElligott's Quarry Reserve at the end of Carrick Hill Drive (not at Carrick Hill) near 48 Carrick Hill Drive, Mitcham.
There is a parking area at the end of the drive. You can also park along the road.
The hike will take about three hours and afterwards we’ll head to a nearby cafe.
This is a moderate hike with some steep parts. It’s not recommended for those with bad knees. There may be cattle along a portion of the walk.
