HEELS & WHEELS!!

It's Adelaide's own Amazing Race!! It's loads of fun and for two great causes... If you've ever seen the Amazing Race, or ever loved the thrill of a good scavenger hunt and don't mind a little competition, then this is the perfect way to spend a Spring morning.

RSVP's are per car (which is considered a 'team'). It's up to you how many you have in your team!

The day starts with a meet at Plane Tree Drive, near the entrance to the Adelaide Zoo. It's here that you get to face-off with your fellow competitors and receive your sealed envelope. This envelope will be opened upon the 'start' of the race and holds in it the list of things you need to achieve or collect before the race ends at 1.30 pm (where you meet and sign back in at The Curious Squire, 10 O'Connell Street, North Adelaide). Here, the first/top 3 places will receive some awesome prizes! But more than that, we'll all have had an extraordinarily fun day, supporting two great causes.

So.. what are the causes?? 100% of the proceeds will be shared amongst the following:

A beautiful young man, only 36, has MS (multiple sclerosis) and is currently bed-ridden. His mother feeds him breakfast, then goes to work and returns in the middle of the day to feed him lunch... His arms are too weak to operate his manual wheelchair, so he has been unable to get out in to the sunshine without help. Heels & Wheels is raising funds to purchase an electric wheelchair, so that he is able to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. xx

Secondly, funds are also being raised to support the animal hospital at the Adelaide Zoo; a charity that Heels & Wheels and its creator, The Culinary Chicks, have been supporting for some time. Through careful consideration, the Adelaide Zoo Hospital is just one of the causes that The Culinary Chicks support with their time, effort and dedication to helping local South Australians in need of a little boost.

Why am I sharing this here? Well, I've participated in this day before and it's a HEAP of fun. We could all quite easily just throw a few dollars towards a good cause, but we may as well have an extraordinary experience at the same time!! I do know The Culinary Chicks - which is why the race ends at The Curious Squire - and happily support this compassionate, fierce group of women and their ongoing dedication to raising money for worthy reasons. The amount to RSVP here is the exact amount that Heels & Wheels is accepting for registration per car (as in, Adelaide Networking is not benefiting financially from this publication). Once you RSVP, I will message you with the further details required to register for the event and the full amount paid will be passed over to Heels & Wheels.

There is a lunch afterwards at The Curious Squire, which is not included in the $50 race registration. Details of this will be provided after RSVP and it's up to you if you'd like to stay on with us and celebrate!
