What we’re about
Welcome to ADHD Doubling for Productivity!
I'm Beth, your new host, and I'm thrilled to carry on this great group that Marilyn started. Like many of us with ADHD, I can often pull it together to meet work deadlines and help others, but not so much when it’s something important to me—or now that I’m running my own business, I often put these chores last - time just slips away from me with all the promises I make to myself. ⏳
That's why 👨👩👧👦 body doubling 👨👩👧👦so well. Having others around, even online, helps us stay on track with things that matter to us. Whether you're working on personal tasks, a work deadline, or finally getting to that chore on your list, you'll find friendly support here. Chech out our group guidelines below to see what to expect.
We meet online 📅 every Friday from 2-4pm Pacific Time. You're welcome here if you have ADHD or just find this way of working helpful. Show up with whatever you need to work on - we're here to keep you company and stay focused together.
🙋♂️So what's body doubling? Check out this link to a great article in Psychology Today Body Doubling is having someone else around while you work. They might be doing their own thing or simply being there. Here we are all doing our own thing together. Something about not being alone helps many of us with ADHD keep going. Big thanks to Marilyn for creating this great space. We're so glad she'll still join us as a member whenever she can.

Our Group Guidelines
- 💖Be kind to each other. We're here to support one another. Keep comments positive and let others finish their thoughts. Remember - we're all doing our best
- 🙏Ask before helping. Before giving advice or suggestions during check-ins, ask if the person would like to hear them. Sometimes people just need to be heard. We’ll do our best to set timers so everyone gets some time.⏳
- 🌈Respect everyone & embrace our differences. Everyone's ADHD looks different-what works for one person might not work for another - and that's okay!
✨ And, we don't tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind. Everyone is welcome here...except if they harass or discriminate, we don’t tolerate that.😉 - 🔐Keep what's shared here, here. While you can share tips and ideas you learn, please keep personal stories and details private. We don’t record these sessions and we ask you to commit to doing the same.
- 🏃♀️ Move safely. If you choose the Exercise Room, choose exercises that work for your space and fitness level. Feel free to modify or take breaks as needed. Remember: we're here to move together, not to compete.
- 📸 Cameras during check-in. Please turn your camera on for our brief check-in at the start - it helps us all feel connected! After that, you're welcome to have your camera on or off during work time, whatever works best for you.
- 💫 Life happens! Feel free to come late, leave early, or turn off your camera to handle something. No need to explain.
- 💭 Need help? Message me directly in the group member list if something makes you uncomfortable or if you need support during a session.
- 🎤 Share the space. We all get excited and chatty - it happens! Keep check-ins brief so everyone gets time. Pro tip: jot down your key points while waiting - it helps you remember and keeps things focused. Need more time to talk? We can connect after the session.
- 🎁 Most important—Be kind to yourself. Some days we get lots done, other days just showing up is huge. Both are worth celebrating!
