Acclaimed bansuri master John Wubbenhorst will be performing at the Adidam Center in Logan Square for a rare and intimate evening of Indian classical music and spiritual inspiration.

A dedicated disciple of the legendary Hariprasad Chaurasia, Wubbenhorst is known for his extraordinary command of the bamboo bansuri and his ability to merge the meditative depth of North Indian raga with improvisational elements drawn from jazz and world‑music traditions. The Washington Post describes his playing as “a stunning virtuoso display of the bamboo flute… the compositions and arrangements are equally impressive.”

In addition to performing, John will share personal stories of playing for Avatar Adi Da—having done so dozens of times—and reflect on the role of music in the spiritual process.
