Lows Lake Camping Trip

Details
Three days and two nights on the Glorious Lows Lake, it doesn’t get more Adirondacky than this! We are going to paddle a few mile in to Lows Upper dam, Hitchens Pond is the body of water just before the upper dam and has numerous camp sites, we can camp here or head into Lows Lake for a base camp, group consesus. There is an optional short hike up to a small overlook here which would be a fantastic spot to have lunch, dinner, or to watch a sunset. At the upper dam there is a short portage From the Bog River into Lows Lake a few miles from there we get into Lows Lake proper. There we can set up base camp on any one of the numerous camping sites here, we’ll have lots of lake to explore. Dinner the first night is normally comunal, Johnsonsville Brats with buns along with a side. If you would like to contributete please reach out. Participants are not required to partake in the communal dinner. All other meals are participants responsibility. Difficulty: Intermediate, gentle current but with a small portage, possible hikes and a total distance of 20-30 miles over the course of 4 days. PFDs are required to be worn on our trips. A whistle or other sounding device is also required. Watch the weather and dresss appropriately. It will be getting cold this time of year best bet is to “dress for the swim”, a dry or wet suit may be appropriate based on conditions if you need advice or gear please reach out.
