Lewey Lake to Miami River - day trip (Day use fee)

Description: Day trip up the Miami River after crossing Lewey Lake. We will head west across Lewey Lake and then venture up the Miami River until we decide to turn around.

Difficulty: Intermediate, the Miami River has several beaver dams and other obstacles we have to cross, how far we get is up to the group.

Safety: PFDs are required to be worn on our trips. A whistle or appropriate sounding device is also required. Dress appropriately for the weather, this is and end of season paddle and a wet/dry suit may be appropriate, remember to “dress for the swim”. I recommend bringing a dry bag with warm clothes and a towel in case of capsize. This trip will require going over blowdown and dams, wear appropriate foot gear.
