Finger Lakes Trail Maintenance Day

Group work day for the 10 miles of the Finger Lakes Trail maintained by GVC. Carpooling from Lowes Marketplace/Henrietta is encouraged. Otherwise, meet at emmet at Kanakadea Park in Hornell at 9am.

Fall maintenance consists of cutting back summer weed and brush growth, trimming bushes and trees that have grown into the trail and cleaning drainage channels so they are clear for spring runoff. Typical work day ends early to midafternoon. Optional group stop for ice cream at Ice Cream Island on the way home.
