This snowshoe is being rescheduled from earlier this month due to the 'extreme cold weather' we have had the first week of February. Get into the winter spirit with a snowshoe on the Gorge trail hiking from the Freber Rd parking area to Bingley Road and then return. The trail parallels Chittenango Creek and is a gorgeous part of the NCNST. Bring water or hot drink and a snack.
The temperatures forecasted are low 20's, low wind and < 1 inch of new snow. Snowshoes will be needed for this outing with a good foot or more of snow. We will plan to carpool from the parking lot on the south end of Caz lake and meet at 10:00 am. There is also usually good parking along the side of the (infrequently used) Freber Rd where the trailhead is so if you prefer to meet at the trail head please let me know.
