What we’re about

We welcome adult (18+) transracial adoptees (who are a different race from their adoptive families) to join us at our monthly group meetings, or for various social events where we will explore the feelings and challenges related to our experience, and form meaningful, lasting, in person friendships with others who implicitly understand. Our group is designed to take online relationships offline by meeting in person, and to get to know the person behind the profile. At Adoptees Connect, we focus on putting adoptee voices first by creating a safe and valuable adoptee-centric space, created by and for adoptees, where their voices can meet and be heard. Whether we're hiking, having coffee, or going out to eat, there will be a variety of opportunities to connect. So come ready to share, explore and build the community you've been looking for. We aren't designed to walk our journeys alone!

We are focused on building strong, healthy relationships with fellow transracial adoptees. This group is meant to be a place of conversation, validation, and loads of fun.

**Please note that we are a community of adoptees, and are not licensed therapists or counselors. With that in mind, our group should never be considered a replacement for therapy, and does not act as a traditional support group. Please be aware that your participation in meetings or events could lead to unexpected emotions and we encourage and are advocates for therapy and other needed support systems.
