Strawberry Fields Nature Preserve Photography Hike

Details

A early fall day is a good time to photograph the asters and goldenrods. In the fall, the preserve blooms with eight species of asters, eight goldenrods, and fringed gentian. Fringed gentian, an uncommon plant which can be difficult to find, is regularly spotted in the wet, open slopes and early successional forests of Strawberry Fields. Bring a tripod, macro lens and a diffuser. Meet at at exit 18 park and ride at 8:45 for a 9:00 am. departure or at Strawberry Fields preserve at 10:00 am.
