NEW date-Keewaydin Trail to Overlook Spur via Long Trail Photo Hike

Tentative date. READ DESCRIPTION--click on map provided on this event for directions. 12 of us dd this several years ago and were rewarded with some great views. We also found a waterfall when we returned on a side trail. This will be SLOW paced. 1200 feet vertical ascent and around 3.4 miles round trip. There also is a cairn section filled with cairns that folks built. Some of our members contributed. This trail follows a short section of the Appalachian Trail. It begins from the parking lot at the end of White Rocks Picnic Road and takes you through the forest to White Rocks Overlook via the Keewaydin Trail and Overlook Spur in White Rocks National Recreation Area. We spent a to of time snacking while taking in and photographing the views. Around 1 hour and 40 minutes from Latham. Also there are some interesting places to stop on route 140 for pics.
