Valentino Community Forest

Valentino Family Community Forest, a beautiful northern forest reminiscent of the Adirondacks, hosts more than four miles of hiking trails. Trails pass through deep hemlock and hardwood forests and along cascading streams, wetlands, large ponds with impressive beaver dams, mossy ledges, an Adirondack-style lean-to, old stone walls, a maple sugar house, and open areas of grass, fern, and sedge.
Several 19th-century cellar holes remain on the land, as well as evidence of much more recent logging. We will start on the red trail- Sophie's Knoll and then connect to the yellow and white.
