From Source Data to One Lake, with Martin Catherall

Details

This session is mainly in-person, but if you need a Teams link, I can send you one. The first half hour of the in-person meeting will be networking over pizza. The presentation will start after that.

One Lake is the central data store of Microsoft Fabric, and it can store any type of data.

All Fabric experiences can communicate with One Lake, and data in delta parquet format can be read by any of the fabric engines.
So, how can you get data into One Lake? What are the choices available for data ingestion? And once data is on One Lake how can it be transformed into delta parquet?

These are some of the questions that will be answered in this session.
Upon leaving this session, you’ll have learned several different ingestion techniques as well as transformation methods and you’ll know how data can be used in Power BI directly from One Lake.
