🎃 Volleyween: A Frightfully Fun Night for Beginners Plus - Intermediates

Since it falls on Halloween night, I’m posting it early to gauge interest and give everyone time to plan. Based on the response, I’ll decide whether to move forward or cancel—so if you're interested, please RSVP early!
If there’s strong interest, I’ll consider expanding the format to allow up to 5 teams for this night only, so more players can join the fun.

📍 Estancia High School – 2 Courts
💵 Cost: $10 (Cash or Zelle @7144527395)
🎯 Skill Level: Beginners+ to Low Intermediate

🔹 Format & Flow

• Basic 6-on-6 games
• All Rules wil be followed, including the front/back players
• Middle player sets with two hitters—Or whatever each team wants
• We'll start with King/Queen of the Court at 6:30 PM to warm up and assess balance.
• The Games will start at 7PM

📝 Arrival & Waiver Info

• This event is currently scheduled for 6:30–9:00 PM, but the exact time may shift slightly depending on interest and availability. I’ll confirm the final time by October 28th, so stay tuned for updates!
• Waiver must be signed to participate (sign here)

🚫 Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before) and no-shows may result in removal from future events. Please update your RSVP or message the organizer if your plans change—this helps us keep games running smoothly.

🌟Skill Level Clarification
This session is intended for Beginner Plus to Low Intermediate players—those with prior experience in a structured volleyball setting. Participants should be familiar with the basic rules and able to perform essential skills such as passing, serving, and moving comfortably on the court.
Maintaining this standard helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
If you're an Intermediate-level player and would like to join, please register on the waitlist. If there’s a need to fill spots or balance teams, I’ll move players from the waitlist to the “Going” list as space allows.
If you're new to volleyball or have never played in a structured environment, this session may not be the best fit. I recommend joining my Adult Volleyball Clinic on Friday nights, which offers a supportive, step-by-step space to build your foundation and grow your skills.

🌟 Community Guidelines
This is a safe, fun, and inclusive space—please be respectful to others and help keep the gym clean. Bring your own water - There is water fountain and balls will be provided. All proceeds support the Estancia High School Boys Volleyball Program, so you’re helping local student-athletes while enjoying the game.

Get ready for a fun twist on our Special Friday Night open gym—Volleyween Night, happening on Friday, October 31!
🕒 Schedule:
Session runs from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:15 PM for sign-in and warm-up.
👻 Special Format – 5 Teams:
Just for this session, I’m considering allowing 5 teams, with 4 playing and 1 resting/helping with scorekeeping and line calls. This will keep things flowing while giving everyone a breather between games.
🏐 Session Structure:
We’ll follow the same format as our Saturday open gyms:

• Start with Kings/Queens of the Court
• Then form teams for round-robin play

📋 Expanded Skill Range:
This session is expanded to include Intermediate players and If enough sign up, I may split the group into two levels:

• Intermediate
• Low Intermediate & Beginner Plus

📝 Waitlist Note:
If we have enough on the waitlist to form 3 Intermediate (and some Low Intermediate) teams and 3 Beginner Plus (and some Low Intermediate) teams, I may expand to 6 teams total across 2 courts—with 2 teams playing and 1 resting/helping per group. I’ll break the groups prior to the event. So I encourage you to sign up even if you land on a long waitlist—there’s a good chance you’ll get in!
📝 Waiver Reminder:
If you register but haven’t signed the waiver, you’ll be removed from the “Going” list. And if you’re on the waitlist, you won’t be moved to “Going”—even if you’re next in line. Please make sure your waiver is submitted to secure your spot!
🎃 Costumes optional (as long as you’re not in a giant inflatable frog!)—let’s make it a fun night on and off the court.
