What we’re about
Welcome to our Advanced Tennis Players Meetup in the San Francisco Bay Area. This group is designed for experienced, competitive players who enjoy high-quality rallies, structured pick-up matches, and a consistently strong level of play.
Player Level
This meetup is intended for players with a strong NTRP rating of 4.0 or higher. The group is not suitable for beginners or intermediate-level players.
How to Join
Please submit your request using the web interface. Mobile join requests do not reliably come through.
When applying, please provide enough information for us to accurately assess your playing level. An active, computed USTA rating is preferred. If you do not have one, please share details about your tennis background (league play, tournaments, years of experience), and/or match or rally videos. If we are unable to clearly establish your level, you may be invited to a try-out session, space permitting.
Play Level Monitoring
To maintain a high-quality experience for all members, we actively monitor play level. Acceptance into the group does not guarantee permanent participation. If a player is accepted but does not meet the group’s stated level during play, we reserve the right to excuse or remove them from the meetup and/or future events. This is done respectfully and solely to preserve the standard of play for the group.
RSVP Expectations
This is a small, well-established group that has worked well together for several years. If you RSVP and are moved to the Going list, you are expected to attend. Same-day cancellations or no-shows negatively impact the group and may affect your ability to join future events, up to and including permanent removal.
Cost & Fundraising
We fundraise once per year to help cover court and meetup-related costs. For regular participants, this typically works out to less than $2 per week for 2 or more hours of tennis per event. We charge $5 drop in fees otherwise.
If you value consistent advanced-level play, mutual respect, and reliability, this group may be a great fit.
