San Diego WordPress Meetup Relaunch: Food, Talks & Community

We are excited to bring the San Diego WordPress Meetup back after a long break. This is a chance to reconnect with the local community, meet new faces, and learn something new about WordPress. Whether you are just getting started, building client sites, or developing plugins, there will be something for you. Food and drinks will be provided. I am working on getting some WordPress swag to share, but no promises. If you cannot arrive right at 6:00, that is OK, but please plan to be there by 6:30 when we kick things off. Space is limited to 30 attendees, so RSVP now to reserve your spot.

6:00 to 6:30 PM: Pre-Networking and WordPress Help Desk

• Food and drinks
• Help desk table (bring your laptop and questions)
• Meet other attendees and organizers

6:30 to 6:40 PM: Welcome and Relaunch Intro

• Devin Walker: early member, San Diego native, former WordCamp SD organizer, co-founder of GiveWP
• Thanks to Phelan’s co-working space and WordPress for support
• Overview of tonight’s format

6:40 to 7:40 PM: Lightning Talks (15 minutes each)

• 3 open slots, submit via Meetup Discussion tab
• Confirmed: Modern Site Design with the Block Editor (Devin Walker)
• Speakers should prepare slides or demos to keep the group engaged
• Each talk: about 12 minutes presentation, 3 minutes Q&A

7:40 to 7:50 PM: Community Announcements

• WordCamp updates
• Job postings and collaborations
• Open shoutouts

7:50 to 8:00 PM: Closing and WordPress Trivia

• Thank you’s and acknowledgments
• Fun trivia questions with swag for prizes (if available)
• Save the date for the next meetup
