Adventure Crossroads

Ride to Nilshi (18th – 19th October 2014)

Location : Nilshi

Distance : 150 kms from Mumbai

Ride time : 5 hrs (depends on roads, ride conditions, halts etc)

Dates : 18th – 19th October (Saturday – Sunday)

Start time : 6 am – Palm Beach road, Opposite Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (the largest fluttering Indian flag that we have seen. :) )

Fees : Rs. 1500/- This will include Stay (on multiple sharing), Breakfast, Lunch, Evening tea and Dinner on 18th , and Breakfast, Lunch and evening tea on 19th. Open to : Both Motorcycle riders & pillions. Those pillions who do not ride, can shout out, we will try and get you to hitch-hike. Those with cars who want to join in, may do so too. There is nothing like a breakaway from the hustle of routine life – do let us know, we will try and get you those without a vehicle to pool in your fuel costs.

“Live the Adventure”, is the tag line that we will always endeavour at Adventure Crossroads. It started off with the vision to break away from the routine and do something different. Going ahead, you will be able to not just ride with us to exotic locations across India, but also enjoy other activities like Angling, Treks, Mountaineering(Rock climbing, Rappelling),Nature walks, Archery, Wind surfing, Jet skiing, Para sailing, etc.

Of course, these are just to begin with…and many more would be put into action as time goes.

We did a charity ride a couple of months ago, and through funds collected from Friends and Well-wishers, we brought smiles to the faces of some 300 small Adivasi children in a school by providing them with brand new high quality green chalk boards. “Giving back” is something we strongly believe in. Soon, we will be supplying them with Stationary. We will endeavour to take you to all the offbeat places. We invite you for our first ride to Nilshi, Thokarwadi Dam.

This is a picturesque place, with the Bhimashankar Wildlife Reserve adjoining it.

We will be using the old Mum-Pune highway (NH 4) to travel, hence the roads will be good for 90% of the journey, except the last stretch to the campsite. What’s the fun in riding on tarmac 100% of the ride right?

While, the ride and bonding is what matters, there will be a host of activities such as Rafting, Artificial wall climbing, Archery etc. at the destination. One can indulge in these at a very nominal fee or just soak in to the beautiful nature there.

The weather forecast seems to be mix of cloudy and rains, so be sure to expect the unexpected. :)
