Three Sisters, Broken Top Backpacking Trip

Explore the Three Sisters Wilderness of Oregon on a 4 night/5 day, 52 mile backpacking trip with day hikes. We'll meet Saturday, August 29th by 4 pm in Portland, Oregon, rent cars and then camp on the way to the trailhead (Exact camp spot TBD.) On Sunday, August 30th, we'll head to the Obsidian Trailhead, then shuttle to the Devil's Lake trailhead. We’ll then begin our backpacking adventure, 9.3 miles, 4K elevation gain, with an optional additional 1K to the South Sister summit, then decent 4K ft to our camp at Green Lakes. The next day, we'll begin the Broken Top loop, 11.87 miles, 2.4K gain, 2.4K loss to Three Creek Lake campsite. On September 1st, we'll head into the Three sisters area, approx. 14.4 miles, 1,700 gain, 2K loss to the remote Demaris Lake. On September 2nd, we'll enter the scenic Obsidian zone, 11.77 miles, 2K gain, 2K loss and camp in or near this area, (depending on permits). On September 3rd, we'll hike out 5.2 miles, 1.8K loss to the Obsidian trailhead, and car camp.

Friday, September 4th we'll explore areas on the way back towards Portland (TBD) and camp. Options include small coast hikes, and/or waterfall hikes.
Saturday, September 5th, additional exploring and then we'll get lodging close to the Portland airport.
Sunday, September 6th- fly out
The max number of people for the trip is 10. Let's hike some of the best trials in Oregon, and some of the most scenic trails in the Pacific Northwest!
