Mushroom Foraging Retreat Weekend.

Join us for a Weekend of Mushroom Foraging
This is starting as a waitlist event to see if we have enough interest!

We will be going out twice to gather mushrooms and learn about what we can find and eat in our Oregon Forests

Day 1. Arrive at the campground. Get settled in. Each cabin has spots for 5 people. two sets of bunk beds and a Futon

Day 2. Head out to forrage mushrooms and learn about what we can find in our forests
After foriging we will go over how to clean and prepare the mushrooms and cook mushrooms up to share via several cooking styles.

Day 3. Forage for mushrooms again which you can take home prepare and cook with your newfound skills!

Recommended packing
This is rustic cabin camping. you will need you own blankets/sleeping bags.
There is no refridgeration so please bring your own cooler or plan on sharing coolers while we are there.

Plan for rain or sun. It is recommended you bring hiking attire for the foriging (not cotton!)

We ask for a donation of $12 for this event to help pay for adventure societies meetup fees.

Bring a bag to carry your mushrooms and proper hiking attire and rainwear just in case it rains.

Cost for the weekend is $100 which includes all lodging

We will be encouraging carpooling as parking can be limited. We will communicate via messaging to coordinate carpooling.

PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Adventure Society organizers are volunteers. We come prepared to lead you on a trail or off trail hike but assume no liability for your safety getting to or from the trailhead or on the hike. In case of accident, illness, or other incapacity, hikers must pay for their own medical and/or evacuation expenses, whether or not the hiker has specifically authorized them.
