Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens Walk and Picnic

Details

Join us for a stroll through beautiful Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

This walk will focus on the social side of London Friends Walks, so I’m hoping lots of our friends old and new will attend, after what has been sadly a very long break. We will meet at the Hyde Park exit of Marble Arch station at 13:00 on Sunday the 9th of June.

Hyde Park has many sites of beauty and historical interest, we will visit many of these, Speakers Corner of course, Reformers Tree, the Holocaust Memorial, The Serpentine, the Upside Down Tree, the Lady Diana Memorial, the Romantic Italian Garden, Spekes Memorial, and many more. However the most beautiful thing about the Parks are the lovely characters who stroll around them, by this I mean you. So join us next week, bring a comfortable pair of shoes and a happy disposition and we will have a super time.

The walk is two and a half to threeish miles and will take about threeish hours to complete. On route we will stop for a picnic, so bring some picnic food for us all to enjoy, as well as the picnic, if it’s warm we may have to factor in ice cream stops as well. We will wind up in Queensway where we will part company until our next adventure. Your qualified tour guide will be myself Michael ( look out for a bearded man in his mid sixties with a tour guides badge hanging round my neck). The cost of the guided walk is a very reasonable £8. I look forward to seeing you on the 9th.
