Blackhead Trail with Nature NL and #Hike4Birds

On Saturday, Nature NL (a great local conservation group - check them out) will be joining Sonya and Sean on the first leg of their cross-Canada trek on the Great Trail. Beginning in June 2019, they set out to learn about Canada's landscapes, wildlife, and people.

I thought it would be fun to join them for this short hike. I'm also keen to rekindle some activity in this group this summer, so I would love to hear some ideas from people who can come!

Meet at Cape Spear, in the parking lot at the main entrance (not the smaller lot in Pilot Gulch) at 10 am. This will be a short return hike to Blackhead and back. If you need a ride there, please post in the comments to seek one.

The Nature NL group will be doing some birding, so bring binoculars if you have them! This also means there will be stops to take in the scenery and learn about the nature of the trail.
