July Hike to Hutberg and Schafferteich - Lake & Viewpoint 🌄

Hi, everyone!

We are going on an easy summer hike to Hutberg and Schafferteich (from Vorderstoder). The hike is about 10 km long with roughly 500 meters of elevation gain. It's forecasted to be partially sunny with 20°C, and 25% change of rain. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather.

👋 Meeting:

We will meet at 08:40 (by train) / 09:30 AM (by car) at the Linz Main Train Station (Linz Hbf).

Start of the hike from Vorderstoder parking options at around 10:45 AM.

🚉 Journey by train:

• 08:40 Meeting at Linz Hbf (inside next to the red ticket vending machines)
• 08:55 Take REX train to Hinterstoder
• 10:00 Arrive at Hinterstoder Bahnhof
• 10:05 Take buses 431 and 434 to Vorderstoder
• 10:45 Arrive at Vorderstoder
• 👞 Summer Hike (aprox 10km, 500m, 4 hours)
• 15:22/17:07 Take buses to Hinterstoder Bahnhof
• 16:00/18:00 Take REX train back to Linz Hbf

🚙 Journey by car:

• 09:30 Meeting at Linz Hbf (outside at the main entrance where the cars pickup/drop-off zone is)
• 10:45 Arrive at Vorderstoder parking options
• 👞 Summer Hike (aprox 10km, 500m, 4 hours)
• Return as agreed with the drivers

▶ Activities:

The hike is about 10 km long, and involves about 500 meters of altitude difference. It should take us about 4 hours to complete it, with smaller breaks

• bring snacks & water for the trip;
