Sunday Bike Ride -Battersea to Richmond and return

Event - Day Cycle Ride

Come and join us for a beautiful days cycle ride from Battersea to Richmond along the Thames path including an off road (or on road if you prefer) loop of Richmond Park.

Distance 30km/ 18 miles for return journey 20 km option with train back from Richmond approx cycling time ; 4.0 hours with breaks pace easy to Moderate Pace (10-12km per hour).

I have graded this a green route suitable for any levels. Please see this link for more info on our grading system.

Meeting and Start point

10.30 - Pear Tree Cafe - Battersea Park (for an 11am start)

End Point (approx)

14.30 - Richmond Station

16.00 - Battersea Park (if cycling back)

Battersea Park, River Thames Path, Wandsworth Park, Putney Riverside, London Wetland Centre, Barnes, Mortlake, Richmond Park, Richmond Town Centre

Weather If the weather is good we will have a great day out. If the weather forecast is bad we will arrange for another date.

Suggested Kit List.

Bike - either a hybrid or mountain bike as we plan to do the off road loop of Richmond Park. If you only have a road bike though that's also ok as you could do the on road loop of the park

Snacks. Food/Drink - Please bring any snacks and lunch if you would like, we will also stop for a drink along the way in a cafe where you can buy food and also do a pub stop towards the end if possible.

Safety Max 8 people to manage numbers safely and as some of the route is along busy pathways.

I am a qualified Summer Mountain Leader, First Aider and Cycle Coach and Leader. The group is set to a maximum of 8 people so easy to manage numbers safely. Please respect social distancing and use hand gel regularly
