Adventure Travels For Age 60plus

This group is a sub group of Energetic Hikers Age 60+ and private. You don’t have to be a member of the hiking group to join this group, but I would like to encourage you to join the hiking group if you are a hiker, and thinking about joining hiking trips. The travel details can be visible if you are a member. Send your REQUEST TO JOIN if you would like to know more about trips, and become a member. No membership fee.

You feel comfortable with a group of people whom you already know, and who are age 60+ and have similar interests. This group will join adventure travels which will take place out of state (about one week) and out of country (10 - 14 days) hiking and non-hiking vacations organized by professional vacation providers, for example, Road Scholar (RS) which is educational and focuses on senior travelers, and others. We’ll meet before trips to get to know each other better.

Here are the trips with RS in 2026 (See each event page for details).

1. March: Signature City Miami. 6 days/5 nights.
2. June: California Vegetarian Cuisine, Buddhist Thinking & Qi Gong (retreat). 6 days/5 nights.
3. Aug - Sept: Castles, Farms & Forests: Walking in Austria, France & Germany (walking/hiking). 12 days/11 nights.
4. Christmas trip TBA.

In 2027 (subject to change)
1. Feb. Hiking Death Valley National Park and the Valley of Fire. 7 days/6 nights
2. June. From Appenzell to Lugano: Gentle Hiking Through Switzerland. 13 days/12 nights
3a. Sept. The Best of Theater in New York. 5 days/4 nights
3b. Oct. Signature City New York (non-hiking). 6 days/5 nights

Any member can host and invite other members to join you. Or you can join adventures other members host. If you have plans, you can be an Event Organizer. In fact anyone can be Event Organizers. Then you invite other members. Or you can post your bucket list to see if other members are interested in joining you. Both solo travelers and couples are welcome.
