Transportation and licensed guide are included in the cost of the trip. All you have to do is show up!
We will try to catch the start of fall foliage with this October climb!
Rocks are meant for climbing! Whether you have experienced the unbridled joy of climbing outside, are a gym climber looking to climb outdoors, or a first-timer, join us for a trip to the Gunks, one of the best climbing areas in the country. Our rock guides will set up multiple ropes, so you will get a chance to try routes of varying difficulty and climb as much as you want throughout the day. We will teach you the basics and give feedback and beta to help you progress as a climber.
We will provide all the equipment that you need, including harnesses, helmets, and climbing shoes. Please email us your shoe size.

- NY State Licensed and Wilderness First Responder Certified Guide and rock climbing guides
- Transportation to and from NYC

Wear
- Closed-toe athletic shoes for hike to climbing location
- Weather-appropriate, moisture wicking, althletic clothing (no cotton)
- Hat
- Sunglasses
Pack
- Lunch
- Ample Snacks
- At least two (2) liters of water
- Backpack
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Windproof/waterproof top and bottom layers that can fit over all other layers
- Extra layers to adjust for changing weather conditions
- Trekking poles (optional)
- A change of clothes for the ride back (optional)

Mileage: There will be a 10-15-minute hike to the climbing wall. Please wear closed-toed shoes.
