The Hike:
Starting from Harlington, we follow peaceful country lanes and field paths before a steady climb into Sundon Hills Country Park, where wide views stretch across the rolling North Chilterns countryside. Our route takes us along chalk escarpments rich in wildflowers and birdlife, with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.We’ll explore the dramatic hilltop of Sharpenhoe Clappers, steeped in history and surrounded by ancient woodland, before looping back via quiet farmland tracks and village paths. Expect a mix of open ridge walking, woodland trails, and rural lanes, with a few short but steep climbs to keep things interesting.

- Wear trousers or leggings to reduce the risk of tick bites and nettle stings. Avoid denim or cotton.
- Sturdy walking shoes or boots are essential. Open-toe shoes are unsuitable.
- Bring at least 1.5 litres of water, lunch, and snacks, as there may be no opportunities to buy food or drinks along the route.

Climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) by moonlight and watch the sunrise from the highest peak in Wales, all as part of a fun, friendly, and confidence-building women’s weekend in the heart of Eryi (Snowdonia).This 3-day adventure includes four guided walks, two nights’ accommodation in shared rooms, and plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded women. It’s ideal for regular walkers looking to experience something truly memorable.
Itinerary:
Friday – Betws-y-Coed & Llyn Elsi Forest Lake Walk
(Grade 2: Moderate)
We’ll meet in Betws-y-Coed on Friday afternoon for a gentle 8 km circular walk to stretch our legs and ease into the weekend. The route takes us through forest trails and up to Llyn Elsi, a peaceful lake with great views of the surrounding hills. Distance: 8 km Elevation: 350m Duration: 3-3.5 hrs (with breaks) Terrain: Woodland paths and forest tracks Difficulty: Grade 2/5 Moderate
After the walk, we’ll head to The Rocks bunkhouse in Capel Curig to settle in and prepare for the early morning start.Saturday – Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Sunrise Challenge - Grade 4: Tough
Our main event! We’ll set off early for a guided sunrise hike up Snowdon via the Llanberis Path.We’ll walk by headtorch under the stars, aiming to reach the summit in time for sunrise at 7:22 AM. Start: 3:45 AM (leave the accomodation @ 3.15 AM) Distance: 14 km Elevation: 975m Duration: 6-7 hrs (with breaks) Terrain: Long Uphill Route - Not Technical. Mountain paths uneven & Rocky Difficulty: Grade 4/5 Tough
This is a physically challenging but magical experience — reaching the top of Wales at dawn with an inspiring group of women.
Saturday Afternoon – Optional Walk
After some rest and recovery, you’ll have the option to join a relaxed circular walk from Capel Curig in the afternoon.
Distance: 6.5 km Elevation: 160m Duration: 2 hrs Terrain: Footpaths and woodland track. Uneven in places Difficulty: Grade 1/5 Easy This is an optional add-on for those who want to explore more of the local area.Sunday – Final Scenic Hike
We’ll wrap up the weekend with a beautiful 12 km loop from Capel Curig, exploring quieter trails with stunning valley views, wild upland lakes, and the craggy summit of Crimpiau.Distance: 12 km Elevation: 530m Duration: 4-5 hrs (with breaks) Terrain: Some steep sections, rough uneven upland ground Difficulty: Grade 3/5- Challenging
We’ll aim to finish early afternoon so you can travel home feeling accomplished and uplifted.

We’ll be staying at The Rocks, at comfortable and well-equipped Hostel in Capel Curig, right in the heart of Snowdonia. This is a 5 star hostel with sun terrace, bar, free wifi and mountain, river and garden views. Our group has use of three rooms (Max 4 people per room - (Bunkbeds) Shared facilities include a shared kitchen, lounge, hot showers, and drying room It’s a relaxed, sociable space that’s ideal for solo travellers and small groups alike.Cost: £285 P/P

A Scenic Journey Through Castles, Palaces & Woodland Paths. Step back in time on this varied and beautiful circular walk through one of Kent’s most historic corners.Starting near the magnificent Penshurst Place – a 14th-century manor once home to King Henry VIII – we follow undulating countryside trails through orchards, woodland paths, hidden hamlets, and quiet lanes. Midway, we pass through the charming village of Chiddingstone, often referred to as one of the best-preserved Tudor villages in England. With its timber-framed houses, ancient pub, and fairytale atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot to pause for a snack or coffee.
The route continues past Chiddingstone Castle, an impressive 19th-century building styled as a medieval castle, before winding its way through tranquil farmland and along peaceful riverside tracks. Expect lush greenery, wide views across the Kentish Weald, and a mix of terrain with a couple of short, steep hills adding a satisfying challenge.

Gain the confidence to plan and navigate your own walks Love hiking but feel unsure about reading maps or planning your own routes?
This friendly, hands-on course is designed for women who want to take control of their own adventures, learn essential navigation skills, and feel more independent outdoors.
Set in the beautiful woodlands and rolling hills of the Ashridge Estate, you’ll join a small, supportive group and learn step-by-step alongside other women.
Your Instructor:
I’m Erika – an NNAS-qualified navigation tutor, outdoor first aider, and member of search and rescue with over 6 years’ experience leading women’s walks. My goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging space where you can build confidence while having fun.When & Where:

- Line up your map with the landscape so it makes sense at a glance

- Estimate distance and timing for a walk using simple pacing and time checks
- Spot “checkpoints” (like woods, road crossings, or churches) to confirm you’re on the right path
- Use natural features (like rivers, ridges, or valleys) to avoid overshooting your route
- Gain the confidence to enjoy walks without relying solely on your phoneThis is about building skills step by step, in a relaxed women-only group, where you can ask questions, practice together, and celebrate progress as you go.
