Join us for a scenic and varied circular walk through the Surrey Hills AONB, exploring rolling countryside, quiet lanes, wooded valleys and charming villages including Hascombe and Hambledon. This route offers classic Surrey scenery with a satisfying mix of climbs, woodland paths and open views.

We begin from Milford Station, heading out through quiet lanes before quickly reaching open countryside. The route undulates throughout, with several steady climbs and descents as we move between valleys and ridgelines typical of the Surrey Hills.
Passing through and around Hascombe and Hambledon, we enjoy a mix of rural footpaths, wooded tracks and peaceful lanes, with occasional long views across the surrounding hills. Woodland sections provide shelter and variety underfoot, while open stretches offer a real sense of space and countryside calm.
We finish by looping back to Milford via scenic countryside paths. This is a rewarding walk for regular walkers who enjoy varied terrain and rolling elevation without anything technical.

What to Wear and Bring:
- Our walks go ahead in all weather, so dress appropriately. Always carry a waterproof jacket.
- Check the forecast and bring sun cream, a hat, or sunglasses for warm days, and waterproofs, a warm hat, and gloves for cold or wet days.
- Wear trousers or leggings to reduce the risk of tick bites and nettle stings. Avoid denim or cotton.
- Sturdy walking shoes or boots are essential. Open-toe shoes are unsuitable.
- Bring at least 1.5 litres of water, lunch, and snacks, as there may be no opportunities to buy food or drinks along the route.
- Public toilets may not be available on the route.
