Adventure Women: Outdoor First Aid for Hikers 1 day course

Details
First Aid for Hikers – Outdoor Course (Women Only)
Join us for a one-day, fully outdoor First Aid for Hikers course, created specifically for women who love being out on an adventure. Whether you’re new to hiking or have years of experience, this course will equip you with the confidence and practical skills to respond to first aid incidents in real outdoor settings when immediate help is not close by.
This is a fully practical course designed for hands-on learning. You will take part in realistic first aid scenarios throughout the day, including acting as both the first aider and the casualty. This will involve standing, kneeling on the ground, and working in small teams. Physical contact will be required during some exercises—such as placing someone in the safe airway position or assisting with injuries—but always in a respectful and professional context.
The course is women only and designed to be welcoming, supportive, and confidence-building. The course is led by a qualified outdoor first aid instructor and focuses on the types of incidents hikers are most likely to encounter. Please note: this is not a regulated or accredited qualification, but a specialist course created for recreational hikers.
We’ll be outdoors all day on Hartham Common in Hertford, moving between grassy and wooded areas. While this is not a hike, we will be on our feet and walking short distances on natural ground throughout the day. What You’ll Learn:
