There are opportunities to enjoy wild swims with new friends in sparkling waters and in the evenings we wild camp on the shores of lochs.

Find like-minded people and make new friends on the Langdale Ghyll Weekend by Adventure Solos. This is a social event designed specifically for solos, with beginner-friendly outdoor activities in the Lake District throughout.

Ghyll is a Norsk word used in the Lake District (inherited from the Vikings) that means 'mountain stream'. Challenge yourself with a ghyll scramble where we provide you with wetsuits, buoyancy aids and other equipment then follow the ghyll upstream. There are plenty of fun challenges along the way, including plunge pools, slides, scrambles and waterfalls.

Other activities during the weekend include canoeing or kayaking on Windermere, the leap of faith high challenge, and a vertical assault course. All specialist equipment is provided throughout the weekend, as well as accommodation, various meals, professional instructors for activities, and of course an Adventure Solos host who is present throughout the event.

This fun, social weekend by Adventure Solos is designed for anyone considering booking onto an event by themselves to enjoy a group adventure.

The event is fully-hosted and professional Mountain Leaders guide us around so no getting lost! You can 'pick your pace' as we split into at least two different groups a 'faster' and a 'slower' group (each with it's own Mountain Leader), so you can decide which pace suits you best on the day.

Adventure Solos provides welcome drinks, accommodation for both Friday and Saturday nights in a fantastic modern barn-conversion with stunning views, 5 meals (including veggie options), an Adventure Solos host, resupplies after each peak, celebrations in the barn, a huge sense of achievement, fun social times and much more!
