Tali Karng (Hard / Overnight) - 30km (1300m+ climb)

Details
Lake Tali Karng is a natural lake near Licola. At 14 hectares in area and 51 metres in depth, it is the only deep lake in Victoria. It was formed by a landslide 1,500 years ago. There is approximately 20km on the first day (1300m climb), and 10km on the second day. We don't carry the packs down to the lake (the pack carry is approximate half the distance, and doesn't involve much altitude change). We'll set up camp after approximately 10km, and then do descend into Tali Karng.
People will go straight to Waitlist on this one, as I want to ensure I speak to everyone coming first
This isn't a technical hike, it simply has a lot of downhill / uphill. We will not be going fast
Whilst unlikely, there may be snow. At the very least, everyone must be prepared for alpine weather
The Walk starts at MacFarlane saddle, where some may camp overnight (others may choose to camp nearby)
We take safety seriously. In particularly dangerous conditions (very high temperatures, High risk bushfire conditions, or particularly dangerous storm conditions primarily), this trip may change or be altered. Australian Bushfires in particular cannot be outrun, and can be fairly unpredictable
Please ensure you have some hiking experience before doing this hike. If you're not sure, message me (Andrew) directly here or on facebook
PLEASE NOTE: EVERYONE WILL BE LISTED AS WAITLIST AUTOMATICALLY AND AN ORGANISER WILL MOVE YOU TO ATTENDING IF YOU'VE FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS IN THIS DESCRIPTION).
