This is the main adventure!
We will drive to Pont ar Daf National Trust car park, arriving in time to begin the hike at approximately 9:00 AM.

# π CLIMB THE HIGHEST PEAK IN SOUTH WALES!
The highlight of the weekend will be reaching the summit of:
## ποΈ PEN Y FAN β 886 METRES / 2,906 FT
We will climb Pen y Fan on foot via established mountain paths.
π₯Ύ No technical scrambling is required on the planned route.
However, this is a serious mountain day, involving long climbs, steep descents, uneven terrain and approximately 1,000 m of cumulative ascent.
Good fitness and appropriate hiking equipment are essential.

We will stay at a nearby campsite approximately 10 minutes' drive from the mountain starting point.

There will be two groups travelling from London on Friday evening:

You are responsible for your own London/Wales travel costs.

This is essential because Saturday starts early.
