Indian Dinner in Jackson Heights
Location not specified yetLet's have Indian dinner in Jackson Heights. Angel Indian is arguably one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC.
Infatuation Review: This tiny, tightly packed Indian spot on 37th Ave. is the toughest restaurant in Jackson Heights, and worth every bit of the effort. They do a range of dishes well, whether that’s housemade paneer, yeasty bhaturas, or Indo-Chinese appetizers. The pièce de résistance though is the goat dum biryani. Order it, and your server will cut open the bread balloon on top, revealing layers of onions, herbs, rice, and goat under plumes of smoke. We like to come with a group and you should too.

We'll dine family-style and share the food bill, together with tax and tips. Drinks are separate and are the sole responsibility of the drinkers. The Map on Meetup TOTALLY USELESS!!!!!

Alphabet Dining: B is for BOSNIA
DJERDAN Burek, 34-04 A 31st Ave, Astoria, NY, USAs we continue our culinary journey to ascertain if NYC does indeed have cuisines from all over the world ... from A to Z!
For this Meetup: Come join us in Astoria, Queens for a taste of BOSNIA.
ABOUT DJERDAN BUREK: Serious Eats review: Pljeskavica (PLYESS-ka-vee-tsa) is a Bosnian sandwich of ground beef and lamb molded into a thin, oversized disc and cooked on a grill, then stuffed in a slightly stiff, mildly flavored bun. That method means it's compared to a burger almost every time it's mentioned in American press, even if the analogy isn't entirely apt. When you look at a pljeskavica's cross-section you can see that the meat takes on a bouncy, sausage-like texture more than one of a loosely packed burger. But enough nitpicking: the experience of eating one is much like eating a burger—that is, one of hapless, meaty joy. You can find these record-sized wheels of beef at Balkan grill joints and restaurants around the city, from Ukus to Kafana to Bosna Express, but at Astoria's Djerdan, they go the extra mile.
