Yosemite Camping and Whitewater Rafting on the Merced River
Details
This is going to be a 3 day camping trip to the Yosemite area during Memorial day weekend. We'll have a nice secluded group camping area just outside of Yosemite Valley. The tentative plan is to schedule a river rafting trip on Sunday down the Merced River. Once I have some more time I will get more details and post them. The campsite has already been booked so this is a set trip. I'm working on the reservations for river rafting. Rafting will run about $127.72 (includes wet suit and lunch). 3 nights of camping + firewood will be $23.
Please add yourself to the waiting list if interested. Once I have the final cost and reservations made I will add people. I will need to have met everyone who is going prior to the trip (or a member can vouch for you). This is my new policy on any over night activities. This shouldn't be too difficult since we have 3+ months until the trip.

The location given above is a Von's grocery store in the town of Oakhusrt. It's about 11 miles from the Texas Flats campground. I figured we could stop here for groceries before heading to the campground. The final directions are given below:
Getting There: TEXAS FLATS CA GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude): 37.39278, -119.58167 37°23'34"N, 119°34'54"W Take highway 41 through Oakhurst to Road 632, aka "Skyranch Rd.", Right on 632 7 miles, turn southeast on FS Road 6S40 for 1 mile, then northeast on FS Road 6S08 for 1 mile, then North on 6S38 for 2 miles to Texas Flat Campground.
